Summer Camp Scholarships

Camp Allen's summer camp program can be a priceless gift. Many are unable to attend summer camp for financial reasons. Camp Allen's scholarship fund matches funds from the applicant, and their affiliated church; however, each year those needing assistance exceed the scholarship funds available. Scholarship form can be obtained from the Episcopal Church near you. Camp Allen has one of the largest summer camp programs in the country. The tuition for one week of camp in 2010 is $498. Over 375 campers annually will receive financial support from the summer camp scholarship fund.

Read with care the words of one parent seeking a scholarship for her child:

"I am requesting this scholarship for my son because he really benefited from your camp last year. In sending him to camp, I was hoping that he would grow as an individual, become more independent, and that his self-esteem would be lifted. What he gained from camp last summer were not only new friends but he came home the happiest child I have ever seen. He was a new person and the Christian environment really helped. He had positive role models during camp and he made lifetime friends he is hoping to see again."

Please help support our youth ministry and make a donation of any denomination. Your gift will be deeply appreciated by a child whose life might be changed forever by Camp Allen.

General Donations

While we are most grateful for scholarship donations, a non-profit organization has many needs to be able to provide the programs and services for the camper beyond its normal operating budget. You may make a tax-deductible gift as a general donation or undesignated donation. Examples of how undesignated gifts will assist us: a portable sound system for the campsites, an emergency procedure for one of our horses, new hoses for the fire pumper truck or maintenance for our chapel organ, etc.

Blazing Trails Capital Campaign

Camp Allen has launched a $2.3 million campaign to improve the facilities and to build the future for the next generation of campers. To date we have reached the halfway mark of the campaign. The projects include acquisition of adjacent land, expansion of the main dining room, improving the Conference Center pool and adding water elements, replacing a 25 year old chiller system, adding a meeting space in the lake cabin area, expanding living space for the Discovery staff and establishing a $1.0 million maintenance endowment. Please join this campaign with your pledge which can be a 3-5 year commitment if you desire. If you are interested in joining this campaign, .
